7 November 2010
My first post since November 2008! Exactly a 2 year hiatus and I'm back on blogger! And its a month before my 22nd birthday! Are the dates playing tricks on me? No I don't think so.
Well the last 2 days have been uber memorable to me. First, on Friday it was Deepavali, and I had to work! But one thing good was that the traffic was kind to me. I felt as if I was driving in sweet 'ol Ipoh, because the roads were practically devoid of traffic along the LDP at Puchong and the Kesas as well because usually it'd be a sea of cars regardless of the time.
That day was kinda special, because one of the foreign workers employed by my mum, who was from Myanmar and had been working for us since 2004, was going back to her homeland after 5 years with us. And she was one of our best employees by far. So we all tucked into our 10-seater Nissan Vanette and sent her to the airport, the LCCT.
~ What was funny was that the day before I was at Putrajaya finalising the last details for her trip back to her homeland. Mum trusted me to do it, and at the same time I took the rare opportunity to renew my soon-to-be-expired passport and also I renewed my century-old IC at JPN (JABATAN PENDAFTARAN NEGARA). I was practically running around like a psycho running those errands while carrying Khin's passport in a file which was clutcched in my hands. And when i got back to the car after finalising everything, I realised her passport was missing! I started panicking and worrying. The only thing that crossed my mind was to re-run the paths I took a while ago to trace back the passport and luckily I did, but it was handed by some good Samaritan to an officer at the Immigration Department. Cranky old Malay officer refused to give me back the passport unless the bearer was present to collect it. Deep down I was cursing and swearing to the old head "GIVE IT BACK TO ME FOR I'M RUSHING LIKE A MAD MAN FOR IF YOU DON'T I CAN'T GUARANTEE WHAT I MIGHT DO TO YOU"! And so I produced some evidence that the passport was indeed belonging to one of my employees and luckily he bought that and returned it to me. What a scare! But at least I was relieved I did not lose her passport for if I did, I think she would've cried in front of me. *Count myself lucky* ~

Before and After : My old passport, and my new one.

So glad I finally updated this age old blog! Till next time! :)
